Service Policy

Maids On Duty values your home and appreciates your business.  For both the protection of our clients and our company please read the following Policies and Terms. Maids On Duty is a professional Residential & Commercial cleaning service that is fully insured and bonded for your protection.
For Residential Cleaning we are equipped with our own cleaning supplies and machines; however you need to provide with some paper towel and trash bags. Or if you prefer a different product to be used we are happy to use it as long as you provide the product. Our normal working hours are Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pm and Saturdays 9am - 1pm.
Payment for Services
Payment for cleaning services is due in full at time of service. Maids on duty gladly accepts payment in the following forms:
Cash
Credit Cards (Credit Card Payments are processed through PayPal + $3.00 Processing Fee)
If you are making payment by credit card, payment must be made by 5:00 P.M. the day before the cleaning.
Late Payment
Payment is due at time of service. $15 charge for payments received more than 1 day after date of service.
Rescheduling
We are happy to reschedule or skip your cleaning day, however we require a 48-hour rescheduling notice. You can reschedule or skip a cleaning just contact us. There is no charge for rescheduling with 48-hour notice on business days (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm & Sat 9am-1pm). However, we charge a $15 fee for rescheduling with less than 48-hour notice. Please note, Monday client must reschedule by close of business on the preceding Thursday. A $15 fee is billed to your next schedule cleaning for a late rescheduling.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your cleaning service, please provide at least 48 hours notice for all cancelled appointments.  Once we take a reservation, we hold that time slot open for you and turn away other potential customers in order to ensure your time frame.  If you have more than 2 cancellations in 1 month, your time slot will open to other potential clients.

Returned Check Fee
Returned checks are subject to a $30.00 reprocessing fee.
Please Note* If we arrive to clean and there is no payment, we will contact you immediately for a credit card.  If you are not available or do not wish to use a credit card, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
Refunds
Since cleaning is a very personalized and subjective service, we cannot offer refunds to customers.  However, we want you to be 100% satisfied, that is why we offer a 24 hour guarantee.  If you are dissatisfied with your cleaning service for any reason, please contact us within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will return to re-clean the area/areas you are dissatisfied with at no additional cost to you.
Illness
If you or anyone in your family gets a contagious illness, please be considerate of us and cal to reschedule your cleaning after the illness is gone.
Privacy Policy

We do not share the information gathered through our web site or personal information with any other 3rd party.
Extra Services
If you require extra services or additional cleaning on your scheduled regular cleaning day, please contact us 48 hours in advance so we may allow the extra time needed at your home and we can give you a quote for the additional services.

Tipping
Maids On Duty never requires tipping, but it is a powerful way to say thank you to your service provider.  Remember your appreciation need not be monetary.  A personal not from you expressing your appreciation for their service can mean a great deal.
Cleaning Gift Certificates

You may purchase a house cleaning gift certificate for about any occasion.  Maids On Duty’s Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash.
Disclaimer*

Maids On Duty do not climb higher than a 2-step ladder.  Higher items will be dusted with an extension duster.  We will reach all visible places by hand, vacuum or extension duster.  If heavy furniture requires being moved for areas to be cleaned, please see that it is moved prior to our arrival.  Please allow for some dust settlement after we leave, we try to limit the dust in the air, but cannot prevent this entirely.
Breakage and Loss Policy

Maids On Duty is fully insured. Our liability limits are set at a maximum of 10 times the cost of the service charge on the day in which the breakage/loss occurred. Notification must be made within 48 hours of services. Items excluded from liability are: cash, jewelry, one-of-a-kind items or hard to get items; items of sentimental value, art, antiques and electronics.
Key replacement / locksmith fees are paid only if keys are lost or miscoded. There is a $50 per location liability limit.
Pets and Plants
We are pet friendly but appreciate your help in making sure pets are secured and safe on cleaning days. Our office should be made aware of any special requirements in safeguarding your pets. Due to the individual care that plants require we are not able to maintain them.
Keys
Please make sure our cleaning team has access to your home on cleaning day. Most of our customers provide us with a key. Customer’s keys are secured in our office and are not attached to any name, address or other identifying information.
Security Alarms
If your home is equipped with an alarm system, please be sure it is in an off or unarmed position prior to our arrival.
Window Arrival Time
We make every effort to meet the specific arrival time you need but standard practice is 2 hour arrival window to allow for unexpected delays such as traffic or extended time on an earlier job.
Children
Please do not leave small children unattended where they could have access to cleaning supplies. Some cleaning supplies are harmful if swallowed.

Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed at Maids On Duty! If you are not happy with any area we’ve cleaned, simply call within 24hours and we will come back out and re clean it free of charge.
